The EUROSPINE Annual Meeting in Helsinki will no doubt be the scientific highlight for 2019 for all professionals interested in the treatment and research of spine conditions. In addition to an exciting scientific programme, the meeting will provide us with ample opportunities to meet colleagues from around the world to share knowledge and experiences.

EUROSPINE 2019 will take place at Messukeskus Helsinki, the Expo and Convention Centre. Messukeskus will guarantee us a successful meeting experience with its modern, spacious facilities and up-to-date technology. Our venue is conveniently situated with just 5 minutes from the city centre by train, and the city´s hotels are within easy reach by the excellent public transportation system.

Helsinki is the capital of Finland with a population of 600 000 it is a human-sized city where most of the attractions are within walking distance. We hope that during your stay in Helsinki you will have an opportunity to explore our distinctive nature, culture, and architecture, and enjoy our local culinary specialties.

Welcome message of the president

Dear members, dear colleagues, guests and friends,

I am delighted to invite you all to the EUROSPINE Annual Meeting 2019 in the
city of Helsinki. Helsinki has excellent access from Asia and South America
and represents our most northerly meeting. At this meeting we will be 21
years old!

As always we will have an excellent scientific meeting with participants from
all over the globe to exchange ideas, research and new skills. I am already
looking forward to this exciting event and venue.

Our local hosts, Teija Lund and Dietrich Schlenzka have already organised an
excellent networking programme in this most exciting of cities. We all look
forward to welcoming you and please put the date in your diaries: 16–18
October 2019.
